My passion for massage therapy started in the early 1990's after multiple injuries from improper weight training technique left me almost completely disabled and in chronic pain. When I was in my early 20's I found myself unable to stand up straight, lift my legs above 6 inches and unable to zip the fly on my pants. A scary place to be for sure. After seeking help from a number of medical disciplines proved unsuccessful, a chiropractic student friend of mine began working with each and every soft tissue injury I had. As I started regaining mobility in my legs, hips, arms, neck and shoulders I was sold. I became a believer that a body in as bad of shape as mine could be rescued, and wanted to share this healing with others. In 2005 I enrolled in the School of Massage Therapy at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington Mn. and have been helping people achieve flexibility, strength and wellness ever since.
As and avid cyclist, I know what stresses cycling can place on the body. Chronic tight hip flexors, quadriceps, hamstrings and peroneals can take you off your bike or at the very least decrease your performance and comfort while riding. I have found that AIS and Ortho Massage has helped me and countless others increase their distance on the bike and helped with recovery afterwards.
